Grinding It Out
If not, then count yourself fortunate because the truth is there will be many times when it is exactly that.
Something you just need to suck up and do.
Just like most things in life that provide value but require a high level of consistency to be successful.
Don’t get me wrong. I like fitness and I love going to the gym. But sometimes it can be more of a chore than an enjoyable pursuit.
Every minute on the stationary bike…
Every round of circuit style cardio…
It all just drags out with no end in sight.
So many times I think to myself, “Gosh, I come almost every day. What’s the harm in just skipping out a little early this time?”

You know why?
Because I remember my goals and the fact that my daily discipline and commitment to going to the gym has enabled me to do a lot of things physically that many guys at my age would find challenging.
Here’s the thing, whether or not we’re talking about porn addiction, masturbation, or just fitness, it’s important that we understand part of healthy living means occasionally we are going to have to grind it out.
Hopefully, it’s not every day.
In fact, it shouldn’t be every day.
Sometimes you’re going to have to grind it out when it comes to your finances and budget.
Sometimes you’re going to have to grind it out when it comes to your fitness and diet.
Sometimes you’re going to have to grind it out when it comes to your sexual integrity and being accountable for the choices you make online or offline.
I believe if we want to be successful in anything, we are going to have to face challenges, and those challenges at times will be difficult to face.
Again, I believe that the occasional grind is inevitable, and I don’t think there is any magic bullet that will make this reality go away.
But I can tell you this…
In those moments when you feel like you just don’t want to do whatever it is you know you need to do, remind yourself of why you’re doing it.
Picture the better version of yourself that you aspire to be.
And then tell yourself, “Hey, if I really want this, I need to buckle down and go get it.”
Here’s to your success and the daily grind.
