I realize that typically one shouldn’t wish themselves Happy Birthday.

But today I turn 49 and I’m the one writing this blog post so… 😜

In all seriousness, this is an awesome birthday because one year ago today I started the process of launching this ministry.

And now one year later, I am reading comments like this from Live Free members who are seeing real growth and freedom in their lives.

I just want to say a heartfelt thank you for everything you’re doing to facilitate the betterment of the lives of everyone in this community. I know for me, you have changed my life.

That’s not an exaggeration or polite stretching of the truth. When I look back at what changed for me in my journey towards recovery, your name will always come to mind.

The truth is that God has used you/is using you to bring about a radical transformation of my life. I will forever be grateful.

I’m honestly in tears now just thinking of how far God has brought me since I’ve joined Live Free.

I joined as an empty man: desperate, lost, alone, hurting, broken, depressed, and deep in sin. Today I don’t just see hope. I feel it. I’m living it.

And the simple fact of the matter is that day 1 for me was the day I signed up for Live Free.

Humbled, thankful, and ready for the next 12 months! That sums up how I am feeling today.

And so if I can leave you with one thought it’s this…

There is hope. Freedom is possible.
