The Final Push
And I am going to be very transparent this week in sharing some details about Live Free that you might not know otherwise.
I am super grateful for that because I know people are suffering from online sexual addictions worldwide, and if we can be a lifeline to hope and healing for them, then we’re doing exactly what God has called us to do.
That said, we don’t have a global staff. Heck, we don’t have a medium-sized staff.
We have a small team that effectively keeps our operations running smoothly while handling daily requests for help and support. We also have leaders who facilitate our small groups online and get paid a small stipend for doing so. (I like to think of those dedicated individuals as “paid” volunteers ‘cause ain’t no one getting rich running a small group every week.)
In other words, we run very lean keeping salaries to a minimum so we have more money to invest in the programs and communities we foster.
These are not complaints, quite the contrary–it’s something I feel good about. It shows the heart of our team and our ministry. Too many nonprofits out there have made a bad name for “non-profit” work by taking outrageous salaries.
You can rest assured, that is not happening here.

Our staff is here to answer emails and phone calls seven days a week, working morning and evening hours. Our online communities run 24 hours a day and our small groups meet throughout the week.
I’m not just looking in from time to time; I am involved in all aspects of operations daily. I invest in every single project, resource, and facet of this organization. To be honest, I love getting my hands dirty and working directly with the individuals we seek to serve.
These people have brokenness and pain in their lives due to addictions that many may call self-inflicted. Still, God’s heart is to free them of what’s holding them back. It is an honor to help them rebuild their lives to live in a place of authenticity before their friends and family.
I tell you all this because I want you to know that whatever you donate is not going to payroll, rent, electricity, some outlandish building project, or my next vacation – no, every dollar we raise from this fundraiser is going to be directly invested in the resources and programs we offer those who need our help. If you are curious about how we spend all the money we receive, check out this infographic.
Would you please come alongside us in our efforts?
We need your partnership in these final hours to continue serving these men and women in 2022.
Also, as previously mentioned, everyone who donates a total of $100 to this fundraiser will get a free copy of my book “When Shame Gets Real – A new way to talk about sex, porn, and masturbation” due to release in February 2022.
I can’t thank you enough for sticking it out with us during this campaign, reading and sharing our emails, blogs, and social posts.
