Over the years we have received (literally tens of thousands) of emails and questions from our audience.

Those questions have covered a range of topics, but without a doubt, the primary question we get is something like this:

Why can’t I stop?

Porn, masturbation, flirting, anonymous sex, infidelity… you name it.

And unfortunately, the fact that so many people ask us this is evidence that we (as a society and church) have done a really poor job at explaining the problem.

Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of people who’ve tried.

We’ve been told…

• It’s a man’s issue that can’t be avoided because of man’s natural sexual hunger but can be conquered through behavior modification techniques (thanks Every Man’s Battle for that one). 
• It’s a sin and repentance issue that can be solved through more spiritual devotion.
• It’s a self-control issue and/or bad habit.
• It’s a societal and/or cultural matter meaning access and opportunity is to blame.
• It’s an accountability problem, or lack thereof.

And while some of these theories may contain an element of truth, they are insufficient in explaining the problem and therefore, they do not provide effective solutions. 

Which begs the question, what is our viewpoint?

What does Live Free and XXXchurch say the problem is?

And so we wanted to answer this question in a way that’s truly reflective of who we are and what we believe. We wanted to make sure that we did this in a manner that was not overly heavy, shaming, or academic but still offered a clear message.

So far the past several months we have worked on putting together a brand-new video that we hope will be something people watch and share because it checks off all the boxes:

• It’s funny.
• It’s direct.
• It’s relatable.
• It offers direction and hope.
